Instruction for Online Other State Registered User Tax Payment


•  Computer
•  Internet Broad Band Connection
•  State Bank of India’s Internet Banking Account with Transaction Rights
•  Laser Printer


      1.)  Click on Link, "Pay your Taxes & Fees" (Visible on the Right side of the Page just above the Link Pay Taxes for Other State Vehicles)
      2.)  new window appears, with Links and options namely.
            •  Instant Payment( for unregistered users – click here for instructions)
                o  Quarterly Tax( for vehicles Registered within the State of Punjab)
                o  Passenger Vehicle Tax ( For Passenger Vehicles Only Registered within the State of Punjab)
                o  Pay tax for other state vehicle (For Vehicles registered or Bought from outside the state of Punjab)
            •  Registered User (New User will have to create His / Her User ID by clicking on the New User Tab on the Lower Right Corner)
            •  For New User Creation the User will be asked for the following details:
                a.)  Required User Name
                b.)  Login ID
                c.)  Email Address
                d.)  Correspondence Address
                e.)  Phone no.
                f.)  Mobile No.
                g.)  Registered with DTO.( District Transport Office)
                h.)  Bank Name ( State Bank of India)
            •  Upon Successful creation of the User ID, the User ID and password will be mailed to you at the Email ID Provided.
      4.)  After Logging in for the first time with the generated User ID and Password, the User will be prompted to change the password
        (Please read the given Instruction on the page). After Successful completion of the password change process, you will be
        requested to re login with the new password.
      5.)  Once the User has successfully completed the above mentioned process, the User is ready to pay the Road Tax for the other State
        Vehicles. After the Re login the user will have to click on the menu "Pay Tax for Other State Vehicles".
      6.)  A new window opens, asking for few details namely
        •  Pay Tax to DTO( DTO to be selected to whom the Tax is to be paid)
        •  Name of the Tax Payer.
        •  Registration No.
        •  Tax Period (either Life Time, Quarterly, Monthly, days)
        •  Tax From Date and Tax to date( Duration of the Tax Period to be selected)
        •  Tax Amount which is to be paid for the above mentioned duration.
        •  Client’s Name(By Default the selection will be the Login ID )
      7.)  Click on "Submit", this will take enable you to view the details you have entered.
      8.)  Select "Ok" to Proceed to payment else "Cancel" to edit.
      9.)  On successful conformation of added record, details pertaining to attempted transaction will be displayed.
      10.)  Kindly make a note of the Transaction ID shown on the screen for further communication with Transport Department related to this payment.
      11.)  To make a payment for the current transaction, click "Proceed to Payment".
      12.)  The user will be redirected to the State Bank of India’s Online Payment Gateway, where the SBI’s Internet Banking User ID & Password has to be entered to          make Payment.
      13.)  Once the Payment has been confirmed the user will be redirected to the Punjab transport website from where the print out of the computerized receipt can be         obtained (Print Receipt Menu Selection).
